You’re running on empty but keep going because there’s too much to do and there’s no-one else to do it. You care for others whose needs are urgent and way more important than your own. You are trapped in a cycle of 'yes' because saying no feels like a betrayal of your principles, colleagues, culture, hopes, dreams, this dying world.
Burnout starts with care and compassion and ends with exhaustion because when doing good feels bad, jumping off the speeding hostage train to save your own skin feels even worse. In this workshop, participants will learn what their individual patterns and blocks are, share insights, and leave with tools to think differently and work effectively.
Don’t expect a lecture by therapists or burnout experts – this is a hands-on knowledge exchange session between people who care about other people and the planet, and who know that running themselves into the ground doesn’t benefit anyone. We will use engaging and equitable processes to enable every participant to share ideas and leave energised with new tools and tips they can apply immediately.
