Do you want to learn how radically sharing our passions, knowledge, resources and needs can create powerful, resilient communities with care, acceptance and vulnerability woven into their core? Join us for this heartfelt, empowering and participatory experience that encourages us to rethink how and what we value; challenging mainstream ideas of worth, and giving us space to reflect on our gifts and recognise the collective abundance in our communities.
Event Format & Information
- Doors open 9:30am, start time 10am.
- The event will run for 2 hours and is a participatory workshop. The overall format is relaxed and the facilitator is happy for people to move around and take breaks as they need. Participation is voluntary - if you do not feel comfortable sharing or would like to observe you are welcome to do so.
- The event will start with a 10-15 minute introduction from the facilitator who will explain the Offers and Asks format, help people to settle into the space and ensure participants are comfortable.
- We will then be talking to people in small table groups of 4-6 people to share our offers and asks. There will be a short comfort break of around 5-10 minutes in the middle of the session before we move tables to meet some different people and share offers and asks in the same format a second time.
- The session will close with a voluntary feedback survey and closing words from the facilitator.
- End time 12pm
