In partnership with Hope For The Future & USPG
Are you keen to explore the role faith communities have to play in tackling climate change? Join Hope for the Future and United Society Partners in the Gospel (USPG) for the second event in our Keeping Faith in the Climate series. This online session will highlight the disproportionate impacts of climate change on communities in the Global South, while fostering solidarity and awareness within a UK audience. Hear from thought provoking speakers, and:
🌍 Deepen your understanding of the global consequences of inaction on climate change
🤝 Explore the case for UK citizens to push for stronger climate policies
🗳 Learn the value of engaging with MPs as a faith-based community
We’ll explore how faith, politics, and climate action intersect – and how you can be part of the movement. Through interactive discussions, personal reflections, and practical tools, you'll leave equipped to advocate for meaningful change in your local community and beyond.
Event Format & Information
The event is online, and will involve talks from several speakers, with opportunity to ask questions via the chat, or verbally as several points throughout, and a longer chance for verbal or written questions at the end of the session. There will be several opportunities for attendees to participate in a group setting through contributions to questions and icebreakers.
We will encourage attendees to keep their camera's on, but it is not a requirement, and they are able to choose before joining the call, or change their mind during.
The session will be recorded, but will only record the current speaker, so those who do not want to be recorded may ask questions and contribute via the chat, or turn their camera off when contributing. The longer question and discussion time at the end will not be recorded, to allow a more open conversation at the end for those concerned with being recorded. This will all be explained to attendees at the beginning of the call, and they will be notified when recording begins and ends.
