In partnership with The River Dôn Project
Humans are part of nature, but often act as if we are separate from it. This not only harms the flora and fauna we coexist with, but makes us sick too. Being disconnected reduces our resilience to events like flooding, leads to species loss, bad air quality and rising temperatures. We are forging a path to an uninhabitable planet, at war with the future generations of all living things.
Working with citizens and communities, the River Dôn Project seeks to demonstrate how we can see and sense into the complex ecosystems and relationships that make up the water catchments that we are all a part of, so that we might start to make better choices together.
Join us for:
- An artist conversation chaired by Amy Carter-Gordon, discussing how we can push the boundaries of arts and culture engagement
- a workshop exploring microbial frontiers
- a conversation chaired by Natalie Bennett that seeks to decode our entangled systems and structures
We are the first generation to know the scale of the harm human activity has caused, as well as the last who are able to do something meaningful about it. It won‘t be easy, but by coming together to harness our collective capacities with new eyes and wisdom a different outcome to where we are heading is still possible.
