Moving to a fair and sustainable world will only happen if we all step up and start acting like citizens. Dr Simon Duffy of Citizen Network and Chair of Citizen’s Basic Income Trust is an award-winning social innovator, activist and philosopher.
He will talk about why citizenship matters but also what we need to do to make it easier for ourselves to be citizens.
He will explain the keys to the citizenship model he developed 20 years ago and the need for reform in public services, democracy and our economic systems. His new book Everyday Citizenship is out now.
Founder of the Citizen Network Research, a Sheffield-based think tank which works globally. In 2020, the Centre launched the Neighbourhood Democracy Movement to advance grassroots democratic citizen action.
