Fish migration on our urbanised rivers

In partnership with Don Catchment Rivers Trust

Come and join us on World Fish Migration Day to learn more about fish migration on our urbanised rivers in Sheffield.

This in-person event will focus on the work taking place by multiple partners to help fish migrate up and down our rivers, helping them to find the best habitat to feed, shelter, spawn and grow.

You're welcome to drop in at any time over the course of the event between 10:30am and 2:30pm. During the day there will be organised walks to the nearby fish pass at Ball Street Bridge.

There will also be two walks taking place during the day:

Walk 1 - 10:45am to 11:30am - meet at Brearley Room, Kelham Island museum for a return walk to the local fish pass at Ball Street Bridge to hear about the work carried out to improve fish passage along the River Don. Limited spaces, please book here.

Walk 2 - 1:30pm to 2:15pm - meet at Brearley Room, Kelham Island museum for a return walk to the local fish pass at Ball Street Bridge to hear about the work carried out to improve fish passage along the River Don. Limited spaces, please book here.

If all tickets for the walks are sold out, more spaces may be available on the day.
