When the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals were established in 2015, SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation was a base goal. This goal goes beyond drinking water, sanitation and hygiene. It also addresses the quality and sustainability of water resources, which are critical to the survival of people and the planet. Overall, the SDGs recognise the centrality of water resources to sustainable development. Especially vital is the role that improved drinking water, sanitation and hygiene play in progress in other areas, including health, education and poverty reduction.
However, water and sanitation often compete with issues like climate change and clean energy for public and political attention.
Our team invites you to join an exciting water and sanitation discussion, to raise awareness through a robust and informative discourse. Our panel includes diverse international experts from industry and academia to highlight and connect several water disciplines in an engaging Grantham Centre sponsored virtual debate. We look forward to meeting and discussing with you.
