Join us as we explore how best to rebuild agency and control by people on the ground, through bringing together the workplace and the wider community. Our speakers for the evening are Martin Mayer, Sheffield TUC; Heather Blakey, Unite Community; Olivier Tsemo, SADACCA; Muna Taha, Hadfield Institute; Jesse Palmer, Sheffield Needs A Payrise / SNAP; Ci Davis, XR; and a representative from the People’s Assembly Against Austerity. There will be presentations followed by a discussion.
Wage and workplace dignity benefit family and community life. Many community organisations have democratic structures similar to unions and share progressive values - social justice, anti-discriminatory practices, empowerment of people and environmental concerns.
All welcome – united we win.
