Session 1: Where are we now? Climate Initiatives from across South Yorkshire
What is the South Yorkshire regional government body doing to progress the Net Zero target? Yorkshire & Humber Climate Commission will set the scene, ahead of local authority representatives from Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster and Sheffield presenting their best current climate / nature initiatives.
Lunchtime Performances
Take a seat and watch short theatre pieces commissioned by the Arts and Climate Initiative for Climate Change Theatre Action before COP26, performed by people from the local area.
Session 2: The Media, Technology and the Youth Climate Assembly
The Media: help or hindrance in addressing the climate and nature crisis? Young people from The Regional Youth Climate Assembly will lead the audience in questioning a panel of representatives from local and regional print, broadcast and on-line media.
Technology: Will it save us? An initial presentation of ideas followed by facilitated group discussions.
