In partnership with The Healthy Lifespan Institute
The Healthy Lifespan Institute at The University of Sheffield is working to understand all the elements that influence how we age throughout our lives. Our researchers are finding ways to prevent or delay the onset of age-related conditions that lead to frailty, disability and poor quality of later life.
Join us for a lively discussion on the coming epidemic of chronic health conditions and frailty associated with an ageing population - and how to prevent it. Our focus will be primarily on South Yorkshire and the practical steps necessary to ensure healthy lifespans for all citizens. This event will also mark the formal launch of the Institute.
Featuring Professor Alan Walker (University of Sheffield Healthy Lifespan Institute), Lord Robert Kerslake (UK Parliament), Greg Fell (Director of Public Health in Sheffield), Claire Turner (Director of Evidence at the Centre for Ageing Better), Toni Williams (Public Health England) and Ruth Speare (Consultant in Public Health, Mayoral Combined Authority Executive)
