Power to the People: Reviving Sheffield's Local Democracy

Help us make it happen Donate to FoD

In partnership with Sheffield For Democracy and The Big City Conversation

With the dramatic announcement of local election and referendum results in Sheffield and the incoming Green and Labour led coalition; we look forward to an exciting event on how local democracy will evolve in Sheffield and what impact both the coalition and the move to a committee model of governance might have on the city and the quality of its democracy.

In this event we welcome contributions from the leader of Sheffield Green Party, Cllr Douglas Johnson, and Sheffield Labour councillor and Executive Member for Finance & Resources Cllr Cate McDonald, as well as leaders from key voluntary, faith, community and campaign organisations:

  • Rob Cotterell of SADACCA,
  • Shahida Siddique from FaithStar,
  • Simon Reynell of Sheffield Climate Alliance
  • Woll Newall and Anne Barr from ‘Its Our City’ campaign group.
